A made-up story about patience ยท about 1 min
The Little Seed Who Waited
Ages 3โ5Deep down under the soil lived a tiny seed called Sunny.
โI want to be a flower,โ said Sunny. โRight now!โ
But nothing happened.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter. Rain fell and soaked into the soil. Sunny drank the cool water.
The sun shone and the soil grew warm. Sunny felt cozy.
Then something wonderful happened. Tiny roots wiggled out of Sunny and grew down, down, down into the soil.
โAm I a flower now?โ asked Sunny.
โNot yet,โ whispered Worm. โBe patient.โ
Day after day, Sunny drank water and grew stronger. Then a little green shoot pushed up, up, up, until it popped out into the sunshine!
Sunny grew leaves. Sunny grew taller. And one bright morning, Sunny opened into a big, golden flower.
โI waited,โ said Sunny, smiling at the sun. โAnd I grew a little bit every day.โ
The lesson: Good things take time. Keep growing a little every day.
